Apple Berry Kale Smoothie

Start your morning right with this yummy, healthy and refreshing Apple Berry Kale Smoothie.  This is one of my favorite morning breakfasts because it doesn’t take long to make, it’s easy to take on-the-go, and it is packed with nutritious food!

This really fills me up all morning long and I feel good knowing that I already have a few servings of greens at the beginning of my day. The biggest plus is that it actually tastes great! My husband wasn’t sure about having kale or spinach in his smoothies, but this is so good, everyone in my family enjoys it – even the kids!

How to Make an Apple Berry Kale Smoothie


  • 1/2 cup Blueberries (fresh or frozen)
  • 3-4 large Strawberries (fresh or frozen)
  • 1/2 Apple, cored and cut into chunks
  • Handful of Kale, chopped
  • Handful of Spinach
  • 1-2 cups of Almond Milk (depends on how thick you want it)
  • 1 serving Protein Powder (optional)
  • 1 cup Ice

  1. Place the ice and apple in the blender first.
  2. Layer the rest of the hard ingredients.
  3. Pour in the Almond Milk last. I sometimes add more almond milk half way through mixing if it is too thick.
  4. Blend until smooth
