Crock pot applesauce

I love using my Crock Pot all year long. In the hot months, it helps to reduce heat in the kitchen, and in the cold months it can be made to make warm soups or stews. This Crock Pot Applesauce is a new favorite of mine because my kids love applesauce and it is so simple to make.

I’ve been making food on the weekend so we have easy quick meals during the school week and this side is great for breakfast, lunch, dinner or a snack!

  • 3 lb Apples
  • 1/3 cup Brown Sugar
  • 1/3 cup Water
  • 1 tsp Lemon Juice
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon

  1. Core and peel apples, then cut into small chunks.
  2. Add all ingredients to slow cooker and stir.
  3. Cook on Low for 7-9 hours.
  4. You can mash if you like it slightly chunky or run through food processor or blender if you want it more smooth.
  5. Store in air tight containers and refrigerate.

This also makes great baby food if you have a little one at home.
