I have been making these copy cat Uncrustables Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwiches for years. It is such a time saver to make them ahead of time and I love that you can just put them in the freezer until you are ready to pack lunches.

You will want to invest in the Sandwich Cutter and Sealer, but it is well worth it since you’ll be saving yourself time in the mornings by making these ahead and money by making them yourself. I also like that I can use organic peanut butter, jelly and bread. The joy of making it yourself, is that you know exactly what is it in and you can change up the flavors or brands whenever you want.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Make sure you get bread that is large enough to trim without hitting the crust.
  2. For each sandwich, get two slices of bread. Spread peanut butter on each slice of the bread, being careful to stay in the center and avoid where the cutting and sealing occurs.
  3. Apply jelly to the middle of one slice.
  4. Place the peanut butter only slice on top of the peanut butter and jelly slice (peanut butter side down).
  5. Place cutter on top of sandwich and press down firmly (make sure crust is completely cut away).
  6. Remove crust while cutter is still in place. Make sure you have pressed down completely on the blue center sealing piece.
  7. Place sandwich in sandwich bag and seal well. Store in the freezer until you are ready to use.
The sandwich will thaw while your child is at school so that it will be a perfect temperature by the time they eat at lunch.
