Teacher Appreciation “Smarties” JarThe end of the school year is here! Both of my boys have had amazing teachers this year and I want to make sure that I let them know how much they are appreciated. This easy to make Teacher Appreciation “Smarties” Jar is simple enough for the kids to help you with, too. Plus, once the candy is gone, the teacher will have a reusable jar that can be used for anything (like school supplies, etc).

Make sure you print out the “Smarties” tag and I recommend writing on the back with your child’s name and the year so the teacher can remember this special keepsake.

smarties jar suppliesWhat You Need:

  • 16-22 oz Glass Jar (check your local craft store or Amazon)
  • 10-16 oz Smarties Candies
  • Ribbon
  • Printable Tag

To Make:

  • Fill jar with candies.
  • Replace lid.
  • Decorate with a bow and attach tag (don’t forget to have your child sign his or her name someone on the tag).

See how simple that is! If you don’t want to use a jar, you could use a coffee cup, too. This is a fun Teacher Appreciation gift to give to a teacher, speech therapist, reading specialist, tutor or any of the other integral people in your child’s education.
