Holiday M&M Cookies

Holiday M&M Cookies Recipe

Holiday M&M® cookies are always a hit and this recipe is simple so you’ll have some holiday cookies in no time. Inspired from the Dollar General Seasonal Holiday page, when I saw this recipe, I realized I already had all the ingredients except for the holiday M&M’s®. Nice part is that there is a $1 off coupon on the Dollar General  website, so I was able to save on that last ingredient!

Holiday M&M Cookies

This recipe makes 24 – 36 cookies. I recommend using your Kitchen Aid mixer or a hand held mixer.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup (2 sticks) butter
  • 2/3 cup Brown Sugar
  • 2/3 cup  Granulated Sugar
  • 1 egg (I used egg whites)
  • 1-1/2 tsp.  Vanilla Extract
  • 2 cups  Flour
  • 1-1/4 tsp. Baking Soda
  • 1 tsp.  Sea Salt
  • 1-3/4 cups M&M’S® Brand Milk Chocolate Candies

Making Holiday M&M Cookies

Directions:

  1. In a large bowl, cream butter and both sugars until well blended. Add the egg and vanilla extract and mix to combine.
  2. In a separate bowl, sift the flour, baking soda and salt together. Slowly add these ingredients into the butter mixture and stir until combined.
  3. Add the M&M’S® and chill the dough for 45 min to 1 hour.
  4. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  5. Drop dough by rounded tablespoon onto a lightly greased tray, about 2 inches apart.
  6. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes for chewy cookies or 12 to 14 minutes for crispy cookies.
