Easy (& Inexpensive) Pumpkin Dip

This delicious fall pumpkin dip is a great dish for all your fall gatherings! The best part of this is that you can customize it a bit by adding some of your flavor.  You’ll see what I mean once we get to the recipe.

This is a fun recipe for kids, too, since they can help you “cook” without cooking anything! That saves the risk of being burned or dealing with anything sharp.  It’s a super easy and affordable dish to whip up whenever you need it – Halloween parties, Thanksgiving, last minute get togethers this Fall – you will probably have these ingredients on hand for other recipes, too.  It only takes about 5 minutes to make and is delicious. It was a big hit at my house, and I hope it is for you too. So now, let’s get started and I will tell you how to make this Easy Pumpkin Dip.

Money Spent: About $5
Time Spent: About 5 minutes

Easy (& Inexpensive) Pumpkin Dip

Ingredients:

  • 8 oz tub of Cool Whip (originally about $1.59, but I got on sale for $1 at Fry’s/Kroger affiliate)
  • Vanilla instant pudding mix (generic brand $.69)
  • Can of pumpkin ($1.89)
  • Vanilla Wafers or Graham Crackers (generic – $1.59)

Directions:

  1. Thaw the cool whip just a bit so you can put it into a bowl to stir.
  2. Next add the vanilla pudding mix, ONLY THE MIX to the cool whip! Do NOT make the actual pudding!
  3. Add a spoonful of pumpkin.  Mix together again.
  4. Optional ingredients to add in: vanilla extract , cinnamon, or pumpkin spice!

There you have it, your delicious pumpkin dip! Wasn’t that super easy?! You can serve this dip with a variety of things. Try it with vanilla wafers, graham crackers, animal crackers, apples, marshmallows, etc.

Isn’t it? That part I love – my 2 year old daughter can even help, which is good since she loves to help me in the kitchen.
