Saving at the pump is always welcome, right? With driving to and from work, or driving the kids around town, or just finishing all your errands, you can go through a lot of gas each week and that adds up. This is where the Safeway Gas Reward Program can really help you! As you are picking up groceries for the week, you can help save on gas.  Just accumulate your Gas Reward Points and save up to $1 per gallon at participating Chevron or Texaco locations.

How to Earn Points:

  • Every $1 spent on groceries = 1 point
  • Every $1 spent on qualifying gift cards = 4 points
  • Every $1 spent on pharmacy items = 1 point

How easy is that? Pick up groceries, gift cards for upcoming birthdays, anniversaries, etc, and your prescriptions just like you normally do and you can save at the pump!

Once you get your points, you can cash them in for savings:

  • 100 points for $.10 off per gallon
  • 200 points for $.20 off per gallon
  • 1000 points for $1 off per gallon

And that savings can really add up.

I stopped by Safeway this morning and spent $38 on groceries (after coupon savings of course!) – I’m also planning on getting a few gift cards for upcoming birthdays (two $25 gift cards = 200 points!). Once I get those, I’ll be able to save $.20 per gallon on my next fill up at Chevron or Texaco – that is savings I can enjoy! You can find a participating gas station so that you can start saving, too!

Win It!

Thanks to Safeway, a lucky Saving Cents With Sense readers will win $50 Safeway Gift Card. Enter below to win!
