FunnyFoodsContest_cobrand_300x250Congratulations to winners: #1 -presprizes@ #2 – shawn113@ #3 – christycat02@

Do you ever have difficulty getting your kids to eat all their fruits and vegetables? Ever say “don’t play with your food”? Well – the authors of Funny Food, Claire and Bill Wurtzel take playing with their food to a new level – and make it fun for everyone to enjoy nutritious food.

I love the story behind the book, Funny Food, which features 365 funny, healthy, and delicious ways to “play with your food”. Bill had been entertaining his wife, Claire with “funny food” since they were dating – his inspiration was always to make Claire smile (how sweet is that!). About 6 years ago, Claire encouraged Bill to start taking pictures of his delicious creations. Their book includes recipes and photos to help you make your own creations – and it will hopefully inspire you to create your own food works-of-art!

imageBill and Claire are contributors at LifetimeMoms.com and you can check out more of their fun creations, like this cottage cheese moon (my son loves Goodnight Moon, so this is one I’m looking forward to trying!).

Plus, right now they have a fun contest where you can test your own “funny food” skills – and have a chance to win $2,000! And you don’t need to be an artist – just a little imagination, and some healthy ingredients!  Each week Lifetime Moms will be giving away a copy of the Funny Food book along with $100 cash to a winning photo entry.  At the end of the contest, one Grand Prize winner will get a Funny Food book plus $2,000!

To Enter into the contest:

  • Create your own “funny food” plate using healthy ingredients (ex apples, pears, nuts, carrots, berries, outmeal, etc)  and take a picture
  • Visit LifetimeMoms.com
  • Fill out the form and upload your picture for your entry.

(Official rules and entry information on LifetimeMoms.com)

How would you like to win your own copy of Funny Food? or how about some cash?

  • My tip – never buy anything at the grocery store that will be a temptation later. If only healthy foods come home with you, it makes it easier to make good choices when you are hungry.
