Are you watching Shark Week? We are – my son is really excited about it, so I knew he would love to experience Shark week in person at Sea Life Arizona. Sea Life has over 13 different species of sharks (amongst the more than 5000 creatures in the tanks). Some of the sharks include white-tip reef sharks, zebra sharks, and my son’s favorite, the hammerhead shark.
There are fun activities for kids at Sea Life, too, including a scavenger hunt, Styrofoam jaw cut outs, and of course the kids play area. There are also shark expert demonstrations each day at 2:45 where you can see a shark feeding, and learn more about the shark’s diet, conditioning exercises and conservation.
If you haven’t been to Sea Life Arizona yet, I definitely recommend it. I really like how many of the exhibits are many just for kids. It helps get them excited about the sea life, and enjoy learning (which is always important!). And one of my favorite exhibits is the 360° tunnel, where you can see sting rays, fish, sharks and more swimming all around you.
My boys always enjoy heading to Sea Life and learning more about ocean life. If you are interested in going to shark week – you still have time because it is going on through Saturday, 8/6/11.

And don’t miss all the fun Summer FREEBIES & Discounts available for your kids!
