I love your coupon questions, so keep them coming. This question from reader Amy is regarding eCoupons:
“Can you stack ecoupons placed on your card with paper coupons? Do they double ecoupons?”
What Are eCoupons?
First, it is important to point out eCoupons are coupons that you load on your store card. The nice part is that you don’t have to print or cut them out. They will automatically come off at the register.
eCoupons are considered manufacturer coupons, so this means that you can stack them with store coupons, but you cannot combine them with other paper manufacturer coupons. Since the eCoupon comes off at the register, it will be applied first, and you won’t be able to use your paper coupon (as many of you have found).
Can They Double?
Even though they are manufacturer coupons, they won’t double. So, when you are loading coupons on your card, you may want to check if you have other coupons that will double (and help you save more), or if the eCoupon is already worth more than $1, it probably doesn’t matter.
You can usually remove eCoupons from your card, depending on what service you are using, so if you do find a better paper coupon, just make sure you remove the eCoupon before heading to the store.
