frys logoJust when you thought Fry’s Coupon Policy couldn’t get any better – IT DOES!

They announced on the Fry’s Facebook page today that they are now allowing overage to be applied on other items in your transaction. You can’t get cash back, but if you have a coupon that exceeds the value of an item, then the extra cents off will be applied to another item in your transaction!

A manufacturer’s coupon value may exceed the cost of the item if that overage is applied to other purchases. A coupon overage may not be used to get cash back at the end of an order.

Example:  If you have a $1/1 coupon and an item is on sale for $.50, then the remaining $.50 will be applied to your other items.

This doesn’t mean that you’ll get overage when a coupon is doubled though, so if you have a $.50/1 coupon, it will be doubled to $1.00, or the value of the item. You can see the complete official coupon policy HERE.

And don’t forget that Fry’s is still taking competitor coupons and all coupons less than $1 are worth $1! That is enough to definitely make me want to do the majority of my shopping at Fry’s – how about you? Will this new policy make you want to shop at Fry’s more?

I had a cashier snap at me for forgetting to give the fry’s VIP card until after the coupons were done. I was new to couponing and was trying to make sure I had all the coupons right. I only load coupons that are already $1 or more.

Danielle, that is fraud. You should tell the cashier about the error.
