Heather from Passion for Savings came up with some nice transactions to get cheap Huggies diapers! These scenario is for 3 transactions, but if you don’t want to do all 3, you can skip the first one and still get a nice deal.

    ok, so i tried doing a walgreens deal (not this one) and failed miserably…i think what went wrong was not using a filler item…
    i asked the cashier how the rrs worked, maybe she was unaware or it just wasnt going to work??!!
    #1huggies 7.99 used 2.50 off mfc, got $1 rr pd. 5.94
    #2 huggies 7.99 2.00 off mfc, got $1 rr (couldnt use rr) pd. 6.48
    #3 purex 4.50 3.oo off mfc pd. 1.52

    i did get the free rephresh tampons, and 8×10 collage and i have 2 $1 rrs
    =)
    will u show me what i should have done?

    Kristi, Yes, you needed a filler for Transaction 2. I usually scan the clearance section and most of the time find a good deal (no coupon) and i can use that against the RR from prev. transaction.!! Just make sure 1 MQ per item (WG Q doesn’t count) and an extra item for each RR slip you use. Alot of girls will grab one of the 3/$1 caramels sitting at the register counter to use as the filler in an emergency (but I think only 1 caramel is 49cents).

    PS: Alot of the cashiers have no clue or they just don’t want to help you. But, I think the rules change on them alot depending on the mgr on the floor. :(

    ok, thanks so much! i tried to ask her in a round about way if i could add another item to use the $1 rr…well now i know! i will have to give rrs another go!

    Thank you Kristi for asking that question about Walgreens RR. I had the same first-time, miserable experience, and as was explained by teri su, I didn’t know about filler items. So thank you both. I’m still learning.
