Ready for more Back to School Giveaways! I’m excited about this product and think you will, too. Whether you are a college student (or know one) and heading off to the dorms or a busy mom looking to simplify life- the new Steam & Sweep Hard Floor Cleaner from Bissell to help you clean your floors.

The Steam & Sweep is a combination steam mop and sweeper that picks up dry debris and sanitizes hard floors all in one (no more struggling with dustpans, wringing out dirty mop heads or hauling buckets of soapy water). And one of the biggest highlights for me is that the Steam & Sweep is 100% chemical free and eco-friendly. With small kids in the house, this is a huge plus for me!

Other Benefits of the Steam & Sweep:Photobucket

  • Switches that allow the unit to be used as a steam mop, sweeper, or both at once
  • Easy-to-maintain foot with an easy empty dust bin and high quality, washable microfiber mop pads
  • Steam on Demand trigger, which delivers the ideal amount of steam when and where you need it
  • Maneuverable swivel head, making those hard to reach places a cleaning breeze
  • Easy-to-fill, high capacity, removable water tank that can be filled right from the tap – no need for cups and funnels
  • Water purification system that leaves floors spotless and extends the life of the machine

I love that I finally have a steam cleaner- and the fact that it also vacuums just makes cleaning easier (which is always a plus!). The Bissell Steam & Sweep is a brand new product that you find in stores the week of August 21st.

WIN IT!

Thanks to Bissell, 1 lucky reader will win a Bissell Steam & Sweep Hard Floor Cleaner ($129.99 retail)!

This would simplify some of my cleaning problems. I currently have a Shark steam mop, but I still have to sweep prior to cleaning the floors. 80% of our home is harwood or tile therefore this would make my life easier. I am a working mother of 2 toddlers, a 19 month old and a 2 1/2 year old; therefore, my house is never spotless, but my goal is to clean one room a night so no ALL day cleaning on Saturday (aka FAMILY DAY).

I never really “clean” my whole kitchen or bathroom floors. I’ll just toss a damp paper towel (that I’ve dried my hands with?) or baby wipe (that I’ve just done a light counter clean-up with) onto the floor and use my foot to go over the dirty areas! Call me cheap or lazy, but it’s done the trick. Still… a REAL floor cleaner? That’d be kinda nice! =P

The best thing to do is make sure that as you make a mess you clean it up. Also, I try to bring things with me wherever I go – if I am walking from the living room to the kitchen, I pick up anything on the way that needs to go to the kitchen or beyond. Learned this in restaurants, they call it “Two hands in, two hands out” in other words, always have your hands full and you’ll make fewer trips and clean things as you go instead of having to do it later.

One way we try to make cleaning simpler is by taking a task and breaking it down – dusting, for example, is broken down by room. That way the project doesn’t seem as overwhelming! :)

There is nothing to do to simplify cleaning. If you have more gadgets, you get to clean the gadgets too. Truthfully , it is all a mindset and mine is not in a good place.

  • The only way for me to keep up with the cleaning is to have a schedule. I have certain jobs on certain days. Otherwise, I would have to try to remember the last time I washed sheets or mopped..My life is to complicated to have to remember these details.
