Photobucket

I was one of those students who LOVED to take notes and highlight in my text book and notebooks with different colors– so I’m excited about this next giveaway!

Note taking or color coding assignments it one way to stay organized for students- and what makes it even easier is having the right pen to help you do it. Zebra Pens offer a whole line of products to help keep students organized – from ball point pens, mechanical pencils, and markers/highlighters, to correctionPhotobucket rollerballs to quickly erase mistakes.

Plus the 10 pack of Sarasa Gels (shown above)  comes with a FREE clear carry case – which is easy to carry in a backpack. One of my favorite features was the smooth gel ink and rubber grip, which makes it fun to write (and take notes or make lists). And of course, you can’t beat all the fun colors!

And to making writing with a pencil even easier, Zebra Pens also make the new Cadoozles line, which is a fun pencil that can even be used on standardized tests. The best part about mechanical pencils is that they never have to be sharpened – and Cadoozles can be refilled, so there is less waste, too. Another new line of pens includes the Z-Grip Daisies, which have a cute floral design- plus they come in 5 vibrant colors, perfect for note taking – or when you want a bit of color in your day.

WIN IT!

Thanks to Zebra Pens, 1 lucky reader will win a Zebra Pen Prize Pack, which will include:

3 packs of Sarasa assorted 10pk
Z-Grip Daisies (3 pk)
Cadoozles (6pk)
=(ARV $52.41)

I study by first reading the assigned materials and taking notes on what I’ve read in the weeks before a test/exam. A few days before an exam I will skim the reading material and any notes I’ve made in or out of class. The day before an exam I will make a one page “crib sheet” , by writing down what I think would help me if I were allowed to use the crib sheet, I actually am studying and remembering what I write down which helps me on the exam.

  • Candias

I have to have it perfectly quiet, with no distractions to study. Reading over and over is the best method for me.

I was (and still am) a pen fanatic! (I think that’s an understatement…:)) I used to use different color pens and alternating highlighters when taking notes. Each vocab word had it’s own color, bullets another color, and subheadings a third color. :/ I’m proud to be a NERD!

I didn’t study for tests when I was a kid. I either had to learn it for good or I wouldn’t remember it, unless I knew what the exact questions were going to be. Sometimes we did have a teacher that would give us the actual test to study the day before. I am still that way as an adult, I am very forgetful if I just read stuff or listen to a teacher and I learn best hands on, if I do it a bunch I can usually remember it.

Thankfully, most of my books are online, so I can read on my screen while taking notes on my desk (with lovely Zebra pens soon, hopefully!!! LOL) It’s nice to not have a book to crowd my space. It’s also helpful to use the “Find” feature to look words up in the book. It makes studying much more efficient! I never really payed attention in class (30+ years ago). It was boring, dragged on, and teachers would talk nonsense at times–things I didn’t agree with or just knew were outright wrong. I did all my learning at home on my own and did what I had to do to get good grades and pass my tests even if I didn’t agree with some of what was being taught. I would go home, throw on some hard rock or metal, crank it up, and get to it. This is what worked best for me. I also have a photographic memory which made it easier to remember and retain what I was supposed to know.

  • I’d study by writing: I’d rewrite all my notes from the chapters to be studied. Writing helped me remember the material.
