I try to comparison shop at our chain grocery, local grocery, Wal-Mart and Target. We don’t live close enough to a wags or CVS – I wish. The last way I save is to convince my kids to use their backpack from last year until the new ones go on sale/clearance. They are older though so it’s not too hard for them. • Dee-Anna

I save by buying things off season if I can. It’s the greatest to find a $80 coat at JCPenny or Overstock for $15 or less when seasons go and they are trying to clear things out, and it’s stuff that lasts. I just buy a size bigger than the one last year and so far that has worked. I also learned that backpacks are not one size fits all, I’ve learned the hard way to try to get a better one that lasts the whole year rather than get in on the back to school deals now and pay later when the zipper breaks or it tears. I never knew polyester came in weights. Buy them from Target who carries jworld that makes heavy weight polyester, when they go on clearance. They will last till after school starts the next year so you can wait for them to go on clearance again.

A lot of B2S clothes are fall & winter apparel & not required until October, so they’re cheaper to buy in Sept / Oct than in August when they 1st hit the shelves.
