Last year I talked about how bitter sweet Father’s Day is for me. Losing a parent is never easy, and I hope that those of you that are struggling on this day can find some peace, and remember the good times.
That is my goal this year, to focus and celebrate Father’s Day by remembering all the good times that I shared with my dad.
Being Daddy’s Little Girl, it really isn’t that hard to do…Remembering all the hugs, laughs, smiles, inside jokes, adventures, and special times together.
Of course grief doesn’t subside, but when we try to focus on positive memories, we realize how much we still have with those around us as well. I think I appreciate my dad even more as I look at my own husband and his relationship with our boys.
I love being a mom, but I also love to see the love a Father has for his child. Happy Father’s Day to all you special Dads!
