I just found this new resource that helps you manage your budget online for FREE. You can easily create a budget, track spending, save money, and manage your bank account. Over 1 million people already use Mint.com, and it has been featured on several websites, magazines, etc, but of course the best part is that it is a FREE service.

I’m excited to try it out- do any of you already use it? What are your thoughts?

I’ve tried it but don’t currently use it only because I switched to using Quicken. I am not a trusting person so I dont like to give my financial account log-ins to a website or store the info online. You can use Mint.com without giving your financial account log-ins, you just need to keep it updated manually.

Overall its a good service and would be worth it even if they charged a small monthly fee. Mint.com was purchased by Intuit so you’ll likely see tie-ins for TurboTax and Quicken in the near future. I have a feeling you’ll like the site.

I love Mint. They actually use the same back-end system that the banks use, and I am not worried about them from a security point of view. I have been using them for about 3 years now.

A great thing about Mint is that I can instantly see how much cash I actually have (bank account minus what’s on the credit cards). We pay our cards off in full every month but use them to get reward points. This way, Mint gives us an accurate picture.

I can also watch our charges from all our different accounts on a daily basis, so I can very quickly see if something looks suspicious. If I have to log on to multiple websites (banks, credit card accounts), I’m much less likely to monitor charges this regularly.

I just can’t say how much I love Mint. It’s really simplified my finances. Love it, love it, love it.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE mint.com. I’ve used it consistently for about 4 months now and it has really helped me see how much money we spend at certain businesses and to track where the money goes. I love this product.
