My zucchini plant is really growing like crazy- with at least 10-15 good size zucchinis, but I figured the only way to really show you would be with this vlog (sorry that it is a tad shaky):

If you can’t see the video, you can go HERE to view it.

Now it is your turn: How is your garden growing? What is growing well and what isn’t?

I can’t see the picture but I’m sure they are wonderful… I check my garden every morning and in the last 2 days it has totally sprouted! I have a bunch of green bean shoots up and at least one or two each of my canteloupe, zucchini and cucumbers… about 5 of the 9 corn stalks I planted… I can’t wait until they start showing some veggie buds! :)

Wow, thanks for the video. I’m in Phoenix and tried to do zucchini last year and only grew leaves! Any secrets to share? I’m wondering about trying again. I also tried to grow sweet potatoes but only got leaves. My carrots worked though, and I did them in a pot. I’m new to gardening and especially AZ gardening.

Love the vlog! Your garden is doing great, I may give the cherry tomatoes a shot next year! :)

Kara, I added the youtube link so you can watch the video. I would love to plant corn, how fun!

Hi Stephanie, my secrets (if you can call them that) is to start with good organic soil, plant in full sun, and give a good amount of water. Especially in AZ, you’ll probably need to water twice a day.

I haven’t tried sweet potatoes- but would love to, may add that to my list to try next!

Thanks! Yes, cherry tomatoes do very well here- you should try it :)

Any recommendations on your strawberries Linda? Mine have stopped producing…not sure why?

  • Melanie

How long have you had your strawberry plants? I think you have to replace eventually, as they don’t produce forever.

Love your site! I love gardening and fresh food, but also saving money! Just found it, so having fun checking it out.
