It is so hard to believe it, but my “baby” turns 2 today! Time really does fly…
Do you remember our parents saying that when we were young? I definitely remember my grandma saying it and I really didn’t agree. I mean, as a kid, the years (and days!) would seem to drag at points. But suddenly, you become a parent and –SWOOSH- time is flying. Yep, I’m echoing all the mothers that have come before me and it may sound cliché, but it is the truth.
One minute they are these cute little peanuts- and the next they are heading into the “Terrible 2s” (but we all know 3 is worse than 2, right?). I love this age- actually I think I’ve enjoyed it all. Sure there are challenges, especially when it is related to health issues, but it is all worth it.
I. Love. Every. Moment.
You never know what to expect when you are pregnant, even with your 2nd (or I imagine 3rd, etc) child. I’ve learned more than ever that every child is unique and completely his/her own person. Looks, personality, likes, dislikes, growth, etc- it is all unique. I think it is God’s way of making sure we don’t think we know it all. :) But that is what is so wonderful about being a parent- they bring laughter when you need it most.
