After 2 boys in diapers, you may be surprised, but I never tried Boudreaux’s Butt Paste. My boys have such sensitive skin that I just stuck with what worked- until now. I’ve had the chance to try Boudreaux’s Butt Paste on my youngest for the past week, and I am a new fan.

One thing that I liked was that Boudreaux’s Butt Paste goes on smooth like a cream (not a paste). This means that it isn’t as messy and it can easily be removed. I was also happy to see that they also have a new All Natural Boudreaux’s Butt Paste, which goes on even smoother (yes, I was surprised!) and is quickly absorbed.

butt paste spray But my far, my favorite product, for the convenience factor is the Boudreaux’s Rash Protector Spray. This handy bottle is perfect for diaper bags since the easy spray allows you to apply diaper rash protection on your little one, without getting your hands all messy.

As I mentioned, my boys have sensitive skin, so I don’t want to use just any product. But I was happy to learn that Boudreaux’s Butt Paste was formulated by a pharmacist with help from a respected pediatrician and it is pediatrician recommended. My (almost) 2 year old did not experience any diaper rash this past week and I have to thank the Butt Paste for that.

Not only do I recommend this product, but I will definitely buy it again (and I think the spray would make a great Baby Shower gift, too). If you haven’t tried it, I think you’ll enjoy it.

I fight diaper rash by avoiding foods that give baby trouble, especially acidic foods.

We avoid diaper rash by using BUTT PASTE!! Honestly – we love, love, love it!! Used it with both of our girls and only when they have a very severe rash do we switch to something like A+D w/ Zinc – just to change things up :) . Thanks for the entry!

Thankfully my little girl has only had a mild case of diaper rash and a little bit of Vaseline helped sooth her bottom.

My kids usually don’t get rashes, but when they do, it’s bad! Then I change their diapers much more often and put a layer of A&D on. I’m interested in trying the spray! It sounds really convenient!

I watch what the kids eat and check their diapers regularly, then I put a damp warm washcloth over it to ease their pain, then use a diaper rash cream~

My favorite way to fight diaper rash is naked time!! I try to give her at least a few minutes of diaper freedom between each change and after baths. It isn’t always possible, but as long as we are at home I let her have some “nature girl” time.

We try to dry baby off with a flannel wipe before rediapering… a friend helped us realize that we couldn’t put him in moist.

We were not in the best of financial situations when my son was born and a nurse at the hospital recommended patroleum jelly. It took a little more effort to clean up, but it was good for his skin and worked like a charm. I have never tried this product before and I would love to win!

I have triplet girls in diapers and believe me I go through a lot of rash cream and I found the best solution for this painful problem is to change them right after they have natures call. I know I go through a lot of diapers in fact it is about 600/month! But I love my little angels and…well heck they wont be in diapers forever ;)

I have found the best way to avoid a rash is to make sure to change the diaper right after the poop. Of course, my daughter doesn’t always let me know right away, so if there is a rash, I have used the ointment by Mom to Mom.

I use Butt Paste (of course) and something called Triple Paste. They both knock out diaper rash within a day.

my poor grandson is currently in the middle of a bad diaper rash… apparently the antibiotics given to him during his frequent ear infections make him to go to the bathroom more frequently. In addition to using a soothing cream, (RX by the dr.) I’ve told my son and his girlfriend that poor baby needs to be changed more often! When my kids were little if they were sick I made sure to change them as soon as they went to the bathroom, so they would stay dry which is a big factor in not getting diaper rash.

If I dont have time, I use wipes and then pat dry with a washcloth to minimize the moisture from the wipes. Or if I have time and its an especiallymessy diaper Ill wipe excess off and rinse him in the tub and then dry, so there is no residue from wipes on him.

Other than that just use diaper cream. :) I do have a tub of Butt Paste and it seems like it would last forever if your child doesnt get diaper rashes that often.

We used to be able to switch between the cheap creams and vaseline but then had a baby (#5!) and haven’t been able to beat the rash. Heading to the store for some butt paste after I finish posting this… it would be awesome to be able to get s year’s supply if it really works like everyone claims it does!

I never let my daughters sit in a wet or dirty diaper and I ALWAYS applied a thin layer of A&D ointment.

I have a 2 year old with such a sensitive heinie… he would scream and cry begging “no, no, pleeeeease!” Someone finally gave me their tube of Butt Paste and he has not had problems since. He is my 7th child, I wish I had know about this magic potion for my others.

Honestly, I am NOT good at all on changing super frequently when my daughter has diaper rash….(bad mommy) I know I should! I usually put her in the bath tub with baking soda when she’s really uncomfortable.
Slathering on the creams help, but the key is to make sure to get the area dry (as a lot of people have also said). My pediatrician also said that hydro cortisone creams work to dry it up.

My baby has only had mild diaper rash issues. Not sure if it is related to the Butt Paste use, or I’m just lucky. Also letting him run naked in the summer time helps too, I think.

We applied diaper cream every night before bed whether broke out or not. We didn’t have a rash until after a 18 months old and that’s when we stopped doing it as a preventive measure. Now I know it sounds gross but that spray butter is AMAZING!

My 10 month old daughter Isabella recently had 2 bad bouts of diaper rash(she inherited her mother’s ultra sensitive skin), i got them healed up quickly with the following recipe for success(I’m an RN and i used similar principles here to what we do in the hospital for incontinent elderly patients):
* After each bowel movement, i would give her little bottom a quick rinse with warm water and a soothing baby wash (Aveeno coloidal oatmeal or Boudreaux’s butt wash) and pat dry with soft towel (no rubbing because friction will irritate it more) . Then i would do a layering process with a couple products to form a barrier against moisture and promote quicker healing:
*Apply a thin layer of Neosporin pain relief cream, externally over the really red/irritated areas and to help it stay put i cover it with a moderate layer of natural baby powder, then top it all off with the fabulous Boudreaux’s butt paste and put on a fresh diaper. Soon she had a smooth, soft, happy baby bottom again! :)

We avoid diaper rash by having naked baby time before bed – to make sure he’s *really* dry before getting that bedtime diaper. He gets cream before going down for the night, too.
