I noticed in your Couponing 101 you mentioned Sprouts. I live in the DFW area and our Sprouts has Gala apples for .$49/lb AND target has a coupon for $1/2lbs bulk apples. Since Target matches prices, you can get apples this week for almost free. They won’t allow you to use a coupon that will make the purchase go negative so you have to purchase a little more than 2lbs so you can use the target coupon. I’ve been there twice this week. The first purchase was 22.84lbs of apples for a whopping $.19 (not per pound…total). The second visit I got 32lbs for $1.68. I’m making applesauce and canning it for storage. I’m headed back to Target this evening for more since Sprouts ad is good through tomorrow. I will say that it has been kind of a mess getting the price match becasue it’s all new to them, but they have been very cooperative and apologetic about the inconvenience.
My store will also let you use more than one Target coupon per transaction so I got 8 boxes of Kelloggs ceral for less than $1. I had 6 manufacturer q’s and they let me use 8 of the Target $1 q’s too. Good deals in DFW this week:-)
