PFChangs_KidsMenu_Page1_400pix I had the opportunity to be a part of the first ever PF Chang’s Kid’s Menu Tasting event this past weekend in Arizona. It was a great opportunity to not only meet some wonderful people and taste delicious food, but also spend some quality time with my 4 year old. He loved having “mommy and me” time.

PF Chang’s has always been a family favorite: From heading there with my parents as a teenager, to enjoying a date night with my husband, it has always been a place to enjoy good company and good food in a quality restaurant. But, is it a place you think of taking the kids? Honestly, I didn’t think that until this past weekend when I not only tasted the food on the kid’s menu, but was surprised at how affordable the prices were.

My son enjoyed all the items on the kids menu, which include: Kid’s Chicken, Kid’s Lo Mein, Kid’s Chicken Fried Rice and Baby Buddha’s Feast (prices start at $2.95). Of course, he was even more excited that he learned how to use chopsticks and was proud to show off his new talent!

I learned that PF Chang’s is very willing to work with customers on menu items. If you would like to add more vegetables (standard), you can at no charge. Plus, if you have any allergen information, you can tell your server, who will bring you a menu newly printed for your specific requirements (this option should also be available on their website sometime soon for those of you that order take out). Those of you that need gluten-free items will also be happy to know that they have a separate Gluten-Free menu. It is nice to hear of a restaurant that is so willing to work with customers’ requests and needs.

If you haven’t eaten at PF Chang’s before, I highly recommend it. It is a great place to share a meal (since portions are bigger) or add an appetizer (the lettuce wraps are wonderful!), and now with a fun kids menu, it is also a place for the entire family to enjoy.

Disclosure: I was given the opportunity to taste the kids menu items for free, but this review is my own opinion. No other compensation was given.
