Whether you have some Thanksgiving traditions already established or would like to begin some for the first time this year, remember that a tradition can be very simple, but it can give a lifetime of happy memories.
Here are some simple Thanksgiving traditions that you may want to try:
- Create an annual “Thankful Time” – Take turns going around the table letting each person name something in their life for which they can give thanks.
- Start an annual “activity” that the whole family will enjoy – This could be a walk; a football, baseball, basketball game; or a board game.
- Take an annual picture of your Thanksgiving table and all of the guests at your table. It is amazing how quickly time flies, and how treasured these pictures will become.
- Put up the Christmas Tree (this is one of my favorites!) and get ready for a fun holiday season!
Remember the best tradition of all is to not only give thanks for those in your life whom you love – but to tell them how much you appreciate them.
Happy Thanksgiving to all, may you truly have a wonderful and Blessed time with family and friends.
