Tough Times, Tough People

With this economy and the challenges that many people are facing, I am very excited to share a new book from Chicken Soup for the Soul with you. If you have ever read any books from Chicken Soup for the Soul, then you know how wonderfully inspiring these books can be. And if you haven’t had the chance to read one yet, this is a great one to start with.

Tough Times, Tough People reminds us that tough times won’t last, but tough people will.

Tough People is all about overcoming adversity, pulling together, making do with less, facing challenges, and finding new joys in a simpler life. This new collection shares tales of people who have been laid off, lost their homes, and endured wrenching life changes, but discovered the underlying gifts in their new situations.

Although many of these stories are tear jerkers, they are also real stories of how real people overcame hardships, obstacles, and adversity. We all have hard times in our lives, and sometimes understanding how others have dealt with their own situations can help us in our own journey.

One of my favorite features of the Chicken Soup for the Soul books are the faith inspired stories. Tough Times, Tough People has 10 bonus stories about using one’s faith to pull through life’s challenges- no matter what they are. Inspiration and hope in tough times to make us stronger and wiser.

Thanks to Chicken Soup for the Soul, I was sent this latest edition (June 2009), to read. The best part? They are also giving two of my readers a copy, too! So, if you are ready for a good read, some inspiring stories, and motivation to persevere through challenges, you now have a chance to win a copy!

Want to WIN one? Here’s how:

1) Leave me a comment telling me the last book you read OR your favorite book to read.

2) Subscribe to Saving Cents with Sense in a Reader or Email to stay up-to-date on all the deals, store savings, and money saving tips. Once you confirm your subscription, come back here and leave me a comment. If you are already a subscriber, just leave me a comment!

3) Promote this giveaway and/or Saving Cents with Sense! Blog about it, Tweet (and follow me on Twitter), post it in a forum, email your friends, share on Facebook, etc. Just come back here and leave me a comment letting me know what you did (for each one).

Please make sure you leave a comment for each entry! This giveaway begins Sunday, July 19, 2009 and will end Sunday August 2, 2009 at 11:59 PM MST. The winner will be chosen using random.org. (Giveaway open to US residents only).

Good luck!
