In my pursuit of looking for some fun crafts for my son and to celebrate the Fourth of July, here are a few crafts that we came up with. These are not professional, but made with love from a 3 (almost 4!) year old.
This first one is a 4th of July hat:
This was extremely easy to make. The foam visor was on sale at Michael’s for only $.88 (normally $.99) and the foam letters we already had in our craft cupboard (I picked up a big box a while back).
These Popsicle Stick Flags were also easy to make and great for young kids.
My son painted the sticks red and white (paint was on sale at Michaels for 2/$1). Then we glued them together using 2 extra sticks on the back of the flag. The blue is construction paper and the stars are stickers we already had.
This last one is a String of Stars (could also be used at Christmas, too)
These are just construction paper stars, hole punched, and then strung together with yarn. All three of these crafts were easy for my (almost) 4 year old to do and helped to get our house in the 4th of July spirit!
Do you have any favorite 4th of July crafts, recipes, or special goodies that you like to make with your kids? I’d love to hear your ideas!
