Orange Mango Chicken

I found this yummy recipe at allrecipes.com and haven’t tried it yet, but plan to since it sounds and looks great!

1 lb Boneless, Skinless Chicken Breast $1.67 lb
1 mango $.50
1 Orange $.50-$1 (individual prices aren’t listed in ad)
1 Lemon $.50-$1 (individual prices aren’t listed in ad)
I’m assuming that you already  have the rest of the spices listed in the recipe…

Sides:
Kroger Value Frozen Vegetables (assorted) $.87
Russet Potatoes, 10 lbs, $2.97 (this will give plenty of left-overs)

Total oop: $7.01, plus extra potatoes for another meal

I have to admit I’ve been having trouble coming up with recipes ONLY with food from the current ad, and that is because I also stock up on items when there is a good sale, so I always have other things, besides just sale items to work with.

You did a great job!
You could split the potatoes into serving sizes, and calculate your cost that way (I would!)

Good idea! I’ll definitely do that next time – 10 lbs of potatoes will go a long way! :) Thanks for the suggestion!
