movie popcorn red It’s summer and in Phoenix that means that it is HOT! So, movies are a great way to get out of the house, while staying cool. Here’s a list of some Cheap Movie Deals:

AMC’s Summer Movie Camp starts June 17- August 5. Movies are only $1 and play every Wednesday at 10am, and support charity.

Harkin’s Summer Movie Fun includes 10 movies, in 10 weeks, for only $7. Individual tickets are $2 each, but when you buy Season tickets for $7, you have access to all the movies. Movies are shown at 9:45am and different days depending on the theatre.

CineMark’s Summer Movie Clubhouse. Watch 10 movies for only $5 or $1 per show. All movies play in the morning, days vary by theatre, and are rated G or PG. (Thanks, Deal Seeking Mom!)

IMAX offers a Passport to Adventure package for only $35/person. Each passport includes five film admissions, and five small popcorns. This is available only at the Tempe (AZ) IMAX now through August 31, 2009.

Regal Entertainment Group’s FREE Family Film Festival gets you FREE movies at select theatres across the country. (Arizona is not included)

Looking to rent instead?

Redbox offers FREE movies the first Monday of each month. Make sure you subscribe so you don’t miss when I post the code!

Blockbuster- Rent movies online and have them mailed to you.  Try Blockbuster Total Access FREE for 2 weeks!

Also, check your local library. Not only are libraries a great resource for getting books, which can encourage summer reading, but there you can also rent and/or buy used movies. Our local library also offers movies online, so you don’t even have to go to the library to access the movies!

Have you tried the Blockbuster service? I have tried Netflix and it was pretty good, but dont no anyone who has done the Blockbuster one.

Hi Niki! I’ve tried both Netflix and Blockbuster and found that they are very similar. Either one is a great way to rent movies online, get them in the mail, and return them when you are ready. Anyone else have thoughts?

We’ve been doing a lot of library and Redbox using! :D I can ask for certain movies from the library online, too. :D

Libraries are a great resource! We use redbox a lot, too! We have one very close, so it is easy to stop. Of course, I also look online before going to see if there is anything we want to see available.
