February Monthly Check in

This month has flown by! I know it is the shortest month in the year, but it really did seem to go fast! Part of that may be due to the week we spent (unexpectedly) at the hospital with our 10 month old, but I’m just shocked that it is already March. So, with a new month, it is important to take a look at the previous month and see how we did. Did we meet our budget goals? How am I saving? Earning? What can I improve on?

Here is what I found:
  • 96% savings at CVS- Wow! I spent $3.44 and saved $78.29 (see how I did it here). Find out more how I play the CVS game to save here.
  • 62% savings at Fry’s (Kroger affiliated). My goal has been to get to 75% here, but really 70%-75% is good. Although I am not in my goal range, I am happy with the results since we are $150 under our grocery budget!
  • 56% savings at Walgreens- not as high this month, but my oop was pretty low.

I’m also happy to report that I’m on my way to saving for FREE gifts for Christmas. I already have $15 gift cards to Amazon and plan to keep my Swagbucks growing! My goal is to get at least 1000 swagbucks by the end of the year!
