Mom of the Year Award

I want to thank all of you great readers! I had so much fun with the Ultimate Blog Party 2009 – meeting new people and finding great blogs! There are so many blogs to visit-and even though the “official” party is over, all the links are permanently there, so we can continue to meet new people!

I’m also so thankful for all my twitter followers! Thank you, I’ve been on twitter for a little over a week and I have over 300 followers!

And finally, but not least, I want to thank the wonderful fellow bloggers that I have given me awards! I was waiting until after the party to announce the awards since I wanted to find some more great blogs! Thank you, It’s Me Betty!Rules for Mom of the Year Award:

•Admit one thing you feel awful about involving being a mom. Get it off your shoulders. Once you’ve written it down, you are No Longer allowed to feel bad. It’s over with, it’s in the past. Remember, you’re a good mom!

I think there are tons of things that we could list as moms since we are always comparing ourselves to other moms and wishing we could do better. Honestly, I think it is better to focus on what we are doing well, know that we CAN’T be perfect, and that loving our kids is the most important thing we can do, so, with that, I’ll move onto the next part of the award!

•Remind yourself you are a good mom, list seven things you love about your kids, you love doing with your kids, or that your kids love about you. These are the things to remind yourself everyday that you Rock!

I love snuggling, taking walks, giving big hugs and kisses, reading stories, play time, and any other time that I see my boys’ eyes light up at something new to learn.

•Send this to five other Mom’s of the year that deserve credit for being great moms and remind them that they are the best moms they can be!! Remember to send them a note to let them know you’ve selected them, and add a link to the person who nominated you.
